B2B overview
The B2B features Waylo Commerce adds on top of core commerce.
Waylo Commerce adds B2B buying through two plugins. company holds companies, their employees and roles, their addresses, and the checkout rules for company buyers. b2b-settings holds the tenant settings those rules read.
Everything else (products, prices, carts, orders) is core commerce. Company pricing uses native customer groups and price lists, so there is no separate price model.
Companies and roles
The company model, statuses, roles, and permissions.
Signup and approval
How buyers create a company and how merchants approve it.
Employees
Adding, changing, and removing employees, and reading your own membership.
Company addresses
Shared billing and shipping addresses, and default addresses.
Company checkout
How carts and orders are tied to a company, and who can check out.
B2B settings
Every tenant setting, its default, and what it controls.
Events and jobs
The events the B2B plugins emit and the scheduled jobs they run.
Where rules are enforced
The backend enforces every B2B rule. Store routes reject a caller without the right permission, and checkout runs the same checks, so a client that skips the routes can't get around them. Use the membership route to decide what to show, never to enforce access.
