Core Admin API
Medusa's built-in admin routes for catalog, pricing, orders, customers, and inventory.
These are Medusa's own admin routes. Waylo Commerce runs them as Medusa ships them. This reference is built from Medusa's published spec for the release the backend runs, without the routes that need Medusa plugins or feature flags Waylo Commerce doesn't enable. They accept an admin token, an admin session, or a secret API key. See Authentication.
Products
Manage products, variants, and options.
Price Lists
Sale and customer-group prices, such as B2B price lists.
Orders
Orders, fulfillments, returns, and exchanges.
Draft Orders
Orders a merchant creates for a customer.
Customer Groups
Group customers for pricing and promotions.
Inventory Items
Stock levels per location.
Use the Send button only against a development backend, with a token you can throw away. Never paste a production admin token or secret API key into this site.
Code samples use Medusa's JS SDK (@medusajs/js-sdk), which works against any Waylo Commerce backend. Routes Waylo Commerce adds, such as companies, are in the Admin API.
Calculate Shipping Option Price POST
Calculate the price of a shipping option in a cart. Use this API route for shipping options whose `price_type` is `calculated`, as their price isn't stored but computed on the fly by the associated fulfillment provider against the cart. If the fulfillment provider fails to calculate the price, this route returns an error.
Create an Admin User for an Auth Provider POST
Create an admin user for an auth provider. This is useful for providers like OIDC where the user is created in the provider and then needs to be created in Medusa. Be careful of using this endpoint with providers like Google or GitHub, as any one can sign up as an admin user. Make sure to disable these providers for admin users using the [http.authMethodsPerActor](https://docs.medusajs.com/resources/commerce-modules/auth/auth-providers#configure-allowed-auth-providers-of-actor-types) configuration.
